We had the pleasure of working with Chris and the ARCA team for our 7 star energy sustainable custom build in Highton. We were complete amateurs in the design and build process but Chris and the team worked patiently with us, explained options and answered all our questions to ensure that we understood the process. Above all, he delivered our dream home! We could not be happier with the result and the whole experience – can’t wait to build with them again one day! We feel so lucky to have stumbled across ARCA in our search for a builder to renovate our home! Securing their help and guidance to further develop our ideas and then bring them to life was the best chance we took. We had a minimalistic budget, a 9 month time frame (thanks baby Flynn!) and no idea of the process of a full house renovation. Now we’re settled in our brand new (old) home and we can’t quite believe what Chris, Matt and their team have delivered in terms of the floor plan and the finishes. Our ensuite bathroom renovation was completed about 5 weeks ago and we could not be happier with the results. Almost every day when we use it we marvel at how much the new bathroom makes our mornings so much brighter, both figuratively and literally. From the genius storage solutions including some floating shelves on a “dead space” wall, to moving the cistern into the roof space and maximising the depth of a shave cabinet by extending it deep into the roof space, Chris managed to transform a small pokey bathroom into a cosy sanctuary.

The highlight above all of that is improving the amenity of the shower space by some very small adjustments in the floor plan and an extremely thoughtfully crafted window replacement that considerably enhances our morning view. What a pleasure it is to shower with a view of the sun rising over the garden each morning.

The quality of the work across all of the trades, was exemplary. We had chosen some materials during a previous renovation throughout the house which we were intent on matching in the ensuite. It’s fair to say these materials made for a build that required attention to detail and some fine craftsmanship in order to make the final result look good. Chris and all of his team took our requirements seriously, understood what we wanted an delivered an outstanding finished product…even better than the high expectations I had from the very positive recommendations I already had for ARCA.

Throughout the entirety of the project, Chris and the ARCA team exercised extreme caution in moving through the rest of our renovated house, kept an extremely clean work space, communicated clearly with where they were at and what they were doing and ensured there were no surprises along the way. Importantly, they turned up precisely when they said they would, came in on budget and on time, a testament to their professional manner.

We would have absolutely no reservations in recommending the team at ARCA to build your next project.

I just completed a major renovation on my home with ARCA and cannot recommend Chris and his team highly enough. The effort that Chris put in to ensure that every detail was perfect, including throwing an additional en-suite at him part way through, has led to a finished product well beyond what I was even hoping for. Everyone who has been through the place since completion is amazed at the transformation and the quality of workmanship throughout and I have no doubt that this has also translated in to added value well beyond the money spent.
